Waiting

So, so much waiting.

Waiting for a publisher to reject my work – so when they do, I can submit it to agents. It was an exclusive submission, and they do usually reply.

Waiting for another publisher to reject my work – so when they do, I can submit it to a competition. This was for an open season, and they have said they will attempt to reply to everyone.

So what to do in the meantime?

I suppose the answer is: write.

It’s been a while since I wrote a poo story – and believe me, with two small children and two cats, there is endless inspiration – so, I feel that the time is write to dig deep into my disgusting brain and see what appears on the page.

I’m also entering the Searchlight Awards ‘best bedtime story’ category and have written something I’m pleased with.

So pleased in fact, I’d love to submit it to agents. But of course, I’ll have to wait.
